Career Development and Occupational Studies
The New York State Career Development & Occupational Studies (CDOS) Commencement Credential is recognized by the New York State Board of Regents certifying that the student has the knowledge and skills necessary for entry-level employment.
Our work-based learning approach offers students hands-on activities in either the culinary arts or building trades in order to achieve the CDOS credential.
Building Trades
Our students obtain a basic knowledge of the tools, methods, materials, and technologies currently used in the construction industry. Emphasis is placed on theory, as well as related math concepts.
Practical experience is gained through on-site and community service-based construction projects. Mountain Lake Academy students are provided a skill set that lays the foundation for a career in the building trades.
