Our Students
Our students are among those who struggle with traditional learning environments. Due to a myriad of circumstances, students are referred to us to address their unique learning and social needs. At Mountain Lake Academy we take a holistic approach to education. We are equipped to deal with the ever-evolving dynamics of the student experience. As such, we invite you to partner with us to ensure the well-being of your child. We invite you to call or email for more information.
New York State-Approved
Mountain Lake Academy offers state-of-the-art program facilities, with highly trained staff, to meet the diverse needs of students and families. We are a New York State-approved organization which gives us the ability to offer best-in-class resources without the burden of cost to you. Whether it be in the classroom, in our community living spaces, on our high ropes course, or on our 80 acres of trails, we are committed to providing the best possible experience to members of our educational community. We believe that excellent care should be accessible to every person, and we will do whatever it takes to help students succeed both in our program and at home.

Upon receiving an official referral from a school district's Committee on Special Education (CSE), our Admissions Committee will complete a holistic review to determine one's appropriateness for residential placement at Mountain Lake Academy. If we are able to meet the student's therapeutic and academic needs, their family will be invited to participate in a screening interview and a campus tour.
Once a referred student has completed a screening interview and has been notified of their acceptance, the family can complete our Admissions Packet to get started on the road to a better tomorrow.
